Tinnitus

Tinnitus is a symptom of something not being right in your inner ear. We often can get a high pitch ringing in our ears after being in a loud environment like a concert, or a construction site, without proper ear protection. This kind of tinnitus is short term and usually resolves itself within a day or two.

When tinnitus comes on without any obvious cause, and is chronic, it is most an issue of the cervical spine being out of alignment, specifically the c1/c2. There is likely a nerve in and around those two vertebrae that is being compressed which can cause this symptom.

The AAK C1/C2 adjustment involves a gentle manipulation of the bones to coax them back into alignment. We don’t use any sharp/snapping movements of the head to realign the top two vertebrae.

Once the c1 and c2 are in correct alignment the tinnitus will subside within two to three days as long as the neck remains in alignment.
